Today's Friday AND National Tequila Day?! Could life get more perfect? "Drink the strong and potent distilled sap of the succulent Blue Agave plant. It is important to know, that not just any agave plant will do. It must be specifically from the Blue Agave plant. As you enjoy a margarita, or a shot or two of tequila today, You have the blue agave plant to be thankful for.
Agave plants can be grown in any hot, arid area. By Mexican law, Tequila can only be made from the Blue Agave plant grown specifically in and around Tequila, Mexico, and a few select areas nearby. To meet demand for Tequila, over 300 million plants are harvested a year!
The word "Tequila" has its roots in the Arabic word "Thaquila", which means heavy and strong.
One Tequila, two Tequila, three Tequila floor. Lift your Margarita or shot glass in celebration of National Tequila Day !"

Ahhh... I will not share tequila stories here (maybe because I don't remember them?) but I will share some recipes! Essential Margarita (on the rocks) • 1 fluid ounce Patron Silver Tequila • 1 fluid ounce Rose's Lime Juice
• 1 fluid ounce Cointreau
• 3 fluid ounces Margarita Mix
• 1 drop Lime Essential Oil • 1 drop Wild Orange Essential Oil Dip the damp rim of a tall glass in kosher salt. Fill the glass with ice. Put the drops of Essential Oils on the ice. Follow with the rest of the ingredients in order. Stir and ENJOY! THANKS, AlaskaHealer!
Watermelon Margaritas • 5 cups cubed watermelon • 3 cups ice
• 12 ounces (1.5 cups) Silver Tequila • 1-3 drops Lime Essential Oil • 2 TBS organic agave syrup • 1/2 tsp kosher salt for rim Combine all ingredients. Mix or shake. Pour. Enjoy.
Those drinks all sound DELICIOUS! But speaking as someone with a teensy-tiny, itty-bitty, little smidge of first-hand knowledge, sometimes one may over-indulge in #TEQUILA! If that is ever the experience of someone you know, be sure to share these natural #HeadacheSolutions with them. Like This Rollerball Blend that was designed specifically with head tension in mind. Peppermint & Lavender essential oils are also well-known to aid in such situations. As is my personal favorite for helping to settle an upset stomach, the Digestive Blend.
